Lesson 1 - Motivated to Run
Running is an exercise that is completely self propelled. There is no one trying to get the ball from you and you don't have to hit anything. All you have to do is move your feet forward. Sounds simple right? Well it takes some dedication adn seld motivation to get out there an just go! How do we do that?
#1 -Make sure to set reasonable goals.
This sounds like a silly thing to say but if you make reasonable goals and reach them you are more likely to continue on your running journey instead of setting unreasonable goals missing them and feeling defeated.
#2 - Prepare
If your a early runner: Make sure to wear your running clothes to sleep or at least lay them out the night before so all you have to do is use the john and get out the door.
If your a late runner: Make sure you save enough energy from your day to give a run a chance. Also, if your running in the dark try to bring a buddy and war reflective gear.
#3 - Log your runs
Make it known that you are doing it!! Tweet to the hashtag #runforfun and comment on each days post to get motivation from your peers!
That's it for Lesson 1
Make sure to get out there an Run!!

Wow great advice that sounds like good tips! I am a late runner so I always plan to run with a buddy, if anyone is in south florida looking for a runner buddy I am available.
ReplyDeleteHi Runner 1 my name is Runner 2 and I am also from south Florida as we had a conversation about it in the previous post. How about we run around Ft. Lauderdale beach?
ReplyDeleteThese are some great tips! I need to get into routine again. I enjoy running in the morning only because I feel so much better starting my day afterwards. I feel accomplished and energized. If I save it to the end of the day, it's easy to skip it. I should start laying out my outfit the night before as you suggested! I also don't log my runs, I should start doing that too. Great lesson!
ReplyDeleteReasonable goals are always an issue for me. I try to start off fast and then I burn out
ReplyDeleteGreat preparation ideas! I agree Nicole I feel better!
ReplyDeleteGreat tips! Getting motivated to put on workout clothes and get out there is tough for me, I'll have to try harder!
